I was born in Chicago, Illinois in October 1959. My family later moved to California when I was 3, where I still live today. I grew up with two brothers and a sister. As kids, our mother and father would always read us bedtime stories. It was great to hear our favorite stories as we fell fast asleep. When I awoke, I would still have the story in my head and would make up my own version.
As we grew older, I would occasionally include a short story in a birthday or holiday card and send them to my niece and nephew. A loved one suggested that I include illustrations and turn them into children’s books. Thus creating, “The Monsters Treat.” There are a few other books in the works, with a moral to each story, and ten follow-up questions. I feel this could help teach children to learn, right from wrong, in a fun way.
